Every year we are called to support and/or to organize worldwide events such the Year of the Priest in Rome in 2010, World Youth Day, the Beatification of John Paul II in 2011, and the coming International Eucharistic Congress in Ireland, for which we received a very warm invitation from our Pope Benedict XVI.

Another important event this year will be the IXth edition of the Marathon of Peace John Paul II, for the first time open officially to worldwide runners, to support peace in the Holy Land. Known also as the JPII Games, the marathon–pilgrimage includes the 12 km Peace Race from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, and a number of other sporting events. For this special occasion Israelis will be admitted to the Palestinian territories in Bethlehem and the Palestinians will enter Jerusalem.
