ORNIT represents Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi as their official distributor in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi (ORP) is an activity of the Vicariate of Rome, Department of the Holy See, Vatican, at the direct dependence of the Cardinal Vicariate of the Holy Father. ORP has served pilgrims for over 76 years, providing spiritual assistance and logistical support.
At ORNIT, we assist pilgrims from the United States, Canada and Mexico on behalf of ORP, providing continuous care to our pilgrims, groups, and spiritual leaders both before their departure and after their experience. We help to define itineraries that match the spiritual needs of each group and their budget. Once the spiritual content is clear, we take care to choose the best services and all logistical support needed (transportation, guides, accommodations, etc.) according to each group's requests.
This process takes place in constant and direct contact with the staff at ORP in Rome, with the advantage of having your personal contact here at ORNIT available for you at any time to answer all your questions, give presentations, provide an introduction to the pilgrimage for your group, or simply to meet for a spiritual exchange about your Journey of the Spirit.
Our pilgrimages retrace destinations connected to the Catholic tradition such as Rome, the Holy Land, Lourdes, Fatima, Santiago, and the Walking Paths. ORNIT's projects also include sustaining responsible travel and solidarity initiatives, encouraging interfaith connections by promoting missionary experiences, and offering intercultural encounters in remote areas of Asia, Central America and Africa.
Retracing the destinations of the Bible, events of the Old and New Testament, and places related to the Fathers of the Church. The Holy Land, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, Syria, and Armenia are the major geographical locations for these pilgrimages.
Lourdes, Fatima, Santiago and Guadalupe—some of the places where everyone finds "shelter." These shrines represent the home of the Mother, where the pilgrim can experience acceptance and abandon, forgiveness and conversion.
Ancient itineraries open to all who want to discover a different way to experience nature and people. Practicing slow tourism, we journey on foot, by horse and bike along the Santiago Pathway, the Roads to Rome and Assisi, and the Road to Jerusalem.
An embrace. Rome welcomes all those who for centuries have travelled long roads to reach the cradle of Christianity. ORNIT's association with ORP allows exclusive access to special sites at the Vatican and in Rome. Continue on to Assisi, Florence, or the south of Italy.
From Spain to France and Ireland, from Poland to Russia, from the Baltics to the rest of Eastern Europe, journey to sites related to the apparition of the Virgin Mary, ancient abbeys, places connected to sacred music and art, or the presence of great saints and popes.
Offering simple help, perhaps in an orphanage in Kathmandu or a remote village in Mexico. Visiting with people of different religious traditions and spiritual beliefs, to share doubt, gratitude, songs, and prayers.
